Applied Accounting
The Laredo College Applied Accounting Program offers three levels of study: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Certificate I and Certificate II.
The Applied Accounting Curriculum is designed to prepare students for various career opportunities in the bookkeeping and accounting industry. Emphasis is placed on computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and posting pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. This program is intended to provide a foundation on which the graduate can build a bookkeeping/accounting career through expanded experiences and/or further education.
