Financial Aid Processing Times
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Upon successful completion and submission, the FAFSA application undergoes a series of verification processes through the Department of Education. Once, the verification processes are complete, the FAFSA form is then transmitted and received by Laredo College (the processing time for a submitted FAFSA varies: online submissions typically take 1 to 3 days, while paper forms take 7 to 10 days to be processed by the government).
Once the FAFSA application has been transmitted to Laredo College, the Office of Financial Aid will match the FAFSA application record to the student's admissions application.
Important information: It is crucial that the information submitted in both the Admissions application and the FAFSA application be the correct, legal information of the student for an expedited matching process.
In some cases, additional documentation may be required before a completed application can be processed or a financial aid offer can be made. If further documents are needed, students will be contacted via their official Laredo College student email account. Missing requirements can be viewed and accessed on the Student Self-Service Financial Aid section on the PasPort portal.
Upon completion of any pending requirements, the Laredo College Office of Financial Aid will process and issue a financial aid offer, typically within 10 business days of the completed requirements.

Texas Application for Student Financial Aid
Students eligible to submit a Texas Application for Student Financial Aid may submit an online application or paper form directly to the Office of Financial Aid.
